How to Find Someone’s Ring Size Without Asking
For a surprise gift, the most reliable discreet option is usually measuring a ring they already wear on the intended finger.
Method 1: Borrow a Ring That Already Fits
Use a ring worn on the intended finger, note which hand and finger it came from, measure the inner diameter, and return it promptly.
Method 2: Trace the Inside of the Ring
If you can borrow the ring briefly, place it on paper and trace the inner circle carefully. Measure its inner diameter afterwards. This is a rough fallback, not a replacement for measuring the diameter directly.
