How to Measure Ring Size Using an Existing Ring
This is often the easiest home method when the ring already fits the same finger comfortably.
What You Need
- A ring that already fits.
- A phone or ruler.
- The same intended finger and hand where possible.
Step 1: Choose the Right Ring
Use a ring that feels comfortable on the intended finger. Avoid a ring that is bent, distorted, already too loose or already too tight.
Step 2: Measure the Inner Diameter
Measure straight across the opening in millimetres. Do not include the metal thickness around the ring: including it makes the value larger than the space your finger uses.
Step 3: Use the Online Existing Ring Tool
Calibrate your screen, place the phone flat, then align the ring’s inside edge with the reference circle while viewing it from above.
Step 4: Compare International Sizes
Compare the result with India, US, UK and EU references when you are shopping across different size systems.
